Failure Symptoms (noises, messages appearing on screen etc.)
Key Files (the files that are a must in terms of recovery - eg. My Documents, Outlook Express content)
Operating System (OS) (Windows 98, Windows 2000 etc.)
Partitions (The drives your computer is split up into (C,D etc)
FAT or NTFS (File System) if known
